To accommodate some schedule changes, the October meeting of FMburgh, the Pittsburgh FileMaker Developer Group, has been moved to the second Wednesday of the month. This meeting marks the ninth anniversary of FMburgh, and will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 6:30 PM EDT. We hope you can join us virtually or in-person.
With this meeting, we plan to resume in-person gatherings at Bakery Square in the University of Pittsburgh, Dept. of Rehabilitation Science and Technology Conference Room. As we return to Bakery Square, we are required to follow the safety protocols for visitors put in place by the University of Pittsburgh. If you plan to join us at Bakery Square, please select the “In-Person” option when submitting your RSVP below, and someone will contact you regarding the exact requirements.
For those of you in an at-risk category as it relates to COVID-19, or if you are not ready to meet in-person, or if you live well outside the Pittsburgh area, please do not worry. Even as we resume in-person meetings, we will continue to offer a remote attendance option in case you are unable to make it to Bakery Square for any reason.
For this ninth anniversary meeting, we are pleased to welcome Dave Ramsey to the virtual podium. Dave will present a zero-to-sixty presentation on FMPerception and the forthcoming FMComparison from Proof+Geist. FMPerception is a fast, easy-to-use tool for FileMaker developers that accelerates your work, and allows you to make changes to large, complex systems with confidence that you know what will be affected. FMComparison (currently in beta) is a new tool that allows you to quickly and easily identify all the changes between two versions of your database. He’ll discuss not just how to to use FMComparison, but when and why to use it.
As is our custom, we will open the floor to general FileMaker discussion if time permits so bring your questions. Hopefully, with a room full of FileMaker experts, we’ll have the answers.
Mark you calendars and make plans to join us!
